So I started working on a new deep house mix this afternoon and got completely sidetracked and decided to flip through the archives. Inspired by the amazing weather in Toronto over the past week and also a recent bumpin Derrick Carter set (thanks Claus), I decided to throw down this trip through memory lane. The next 80 minutes will transport you back to the 97-02 era with a mix of San Fran house and disco-house... Totally rediscovered a number of lost gems including the Mocca Latte track (check when the bassline drops in at 38 min!!), the Mark Bell stuff, the brilliant Ian Pooley track 'Before Long' and Loleatta Holloway's 'Dreamin'... last time I heard 'Dreamin' Karizma was flippin the acapella over some jackin track at WMC in March. Anyways... check it out and hopefully this gets the head boppin, the feet movin and the body groovin... ENJOY!
